WHAT WE DID


Where some people see eyesores, others see opportunities. We started this project with the idea that we could change how people in small towns perceive large, vacant properties and provide them with a way to redevelop those properties for use in the 21st century. This was a blighted, abandoned, tax-foreclosed property – the oldest standing part of downtown Mason — at the start of the project and the home of Oracle Financial Solutions and 10 beautiful loft apartments at the finish.

WHAT WE DID


This historical, brownfield, mixed-use redevelopment project houses the offices of Oracle Financial Solutions and ten loft apartments. We led a project team that included the Ingham County Land Bank, Hooker DeJong Architects, the City of Mason, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Michigan State Historic Preservation, and the Michigan State Housing Authority to bring the oldest standing buildings in Downtown Mason back to life.

We started this project with the idea that we could change how small towns perceive large vacant properties and provide them with a way they could redevelop them for use in the 21st century. We started with a concept that would transform this blighted, abandoned, tax-foreclosed property and led the team all the way through to construction completion. How did we do this? We used our proven process of Collaborate Create Succeed.
